Moon Land Restaurant

We are Moon Land Restaurant, located right on University Road in Srinagar. Since we are so close to Kashmir University and Hazratbal, we see a lot of students and teachers every single day. The atmosphere is usually a bit noisy because of the young crowd, but we like it that way. It keeps the energy up. We’ve been here for some time now, and the shop has seen a lot of winters. When the snow starts falling, we try to keep the place warm for everyone coming in from the cold. The menu is mostly local stuff that people find filling. We don't go for anything too complicated. My cousin works the front and I stay in the kitchen most of the time. The tables are a bit worn out from all the use, but they are sturdy. We buy our vegetables from the local market every morning. Sometimes the traffic on University Road makes it hard for deliveries to get here on time, which can be frustrating. We try our best to keep up with the rush between classes. It’s a simple setup with basic lighting and some old photos on the wall. If you are walking towards the university gate, you’ll see our sign. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local spot where you can get a hot meal without spending too much. It gets really busy during exam weeks.
