Luxury Inn Restaurant

This restaurant is located inside the Hotel Luxury Inn in Srinagar. We are near the Post Office in the 190001 area. Because we are part of the hotel, we have people staying upstairs who come down for breakfast and dinner. We also get some local people who are just passing by the Post Office and want a place to sit. The room has some large windows, and you can see the street outside which can be quite pretty when it snows or when the trees are green. We don't have a very large kitchen, but it stays busy most of the day. The staff spends their time setting the tables with napkins and cutlery and making sure the floors are vacuumed. It is a bit quieter here than a street-side dhaba because it is inside the hotel building. We don't have any loud music, just the sound of people talking and the kitchen staff working. Sometimes the power goes out in Srinagar, and we have to use the generator to keep the lights on and the kitchen running. We just focus on getting the meals out on time for the guests. The furniture is a bit older, with heavy chairs and solid tables. It is a steady kind of job, just making sure everyone who comes in has a place to sit and something to eat before they head out. It is just a regular hotel dining room.
