Kindness Krew Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in the Samaie Panchayat area of Doda. We are specifically located in Thathri. It’s a mountainous region and life here moves at its own slow pace. The address is quite simple because everyone in the area knows where the Panchayat is. We decided on the name because we wanted to have a good, helpful spirit about our work. Farming in Doda is not like farming in the flat plains. Everything is on steep slopes and you have to be very careful with the land so it doesn't wash away. We are a group of locals who grew up in these mountains and know them well. We know every path and every small stream. Our office is just a small room where we keep our files and some basic supplies. It’s often very cold in the winter, so we spend a lot of time huddled around a small heater talking about the next growing season. We don’t have a big corporate structure or a board of directors in suits. It’s just us, the farmers from the village. We help each other out with tools and labor when the work gets too much for one person. There’s no big marketing budget here. We just talk to the people in the village and the nearby towns. The work is honest and it’s what we know. We hope that by working together, we can make things better for the families.
