Sri Venkateswara Colleges, Etcherla

Our college is out in Etcherla, which is a bit of a drive for some, but it’s a quiet spot for studying. We have been part of the Srikakulam area for quite a while now. The campus has a few different buildings for the various subjects we offer. It’s not the newest place you’ll ever see, but we keep the classrooms tidy and the fans working, which is important during the hotter months. Students come from all over the district, and you can usually find them hanging out near the main entrance or under the trees between lectures. We have a library that stays busy, especially when exams are coming up. The staff here are mostly local people who have been teaching for years. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy speeches. Mostly, we just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the students understand the material. There’s a canteen where everyone goes for tea and snacks, and that’s where most of the actual talking happens. Sometimes the labs get a bit crowded, but we manage. We’ve seen a lot of batches pass through these gates over the years. It’s just a regular place where people come to get their degrees and move on to whatever is next in their lives. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open the gates every morning and do our jobs.
