Mahendra Junior College

Mahendra Junior College is over in Balaji Nager, which is in the Mellaputti area of Srikakulam. We have been in this spot for a while now, helping students with their intermediate studies after they finish high school. The building is a basic structure, nothing too modern, but it has enough rooms for all the different subjects we have to teach. Most of our students come from the villages nearby or the local streets in the 532215 area. It is a pretty straightforward place. We start early in the morning and the halls stay full of teenagers until late in the afternoon. There is a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and talk to the parents when they come by to check on things. The furniture is mostly wooden benches that have been here since the college first started. It can get quite hot in the summer months, so we have fans in every room, though they make a bit of noise while they spin. We don't have a big cafeteria on the premises, just some local vendors outside the gate where students get their snacks. The staff here is small, but everyone knows each other well. It feels more like a big family than a big institution. We just focus on getting the students through their exams so they can move on to whatever is next for them. It is a quiet part of town, so there aren't many distractions.
