Our office for P. M. Packers & Movers Pvt. Ltd. is at B-64 in Lajpat Nagar I. It’s a busy spot, and finding parking for the trucks can be a real headache some mornings. We have rolls of bubble wrap and stacks of brown cardboard boxes piled up almost to the ceiling. Most days, the place smells like packing tape and old paper. We spend a lot of time on the phone or scribbling down addresses on clipboards. Moving things is hard work, and you can see it on the guys when they come back from a job, all tired and dusty. Lajpat Nagar is a maze, so we’ve gotten good at navigating the back streets over the years. The office is small, just enough room for a couple of desks and a place for people to sit if they come by to talk about their move. We don’t use any fancy software, just notebooks and pens to keep track of who is going where. It gets loud when the tape dispensers are running constantly. Sometimes we lose a marker or run out of twine at the worst moment. It’s not a glamorous business, but people are always moving houses or offices, so there’s always something to wrap up or load onto a vehicle. We just stay focused on the boxes and the bags, making sure things are packed tight before the trucks head out for the next delivery.
