Our shop is located in the basement of Dehim-191 in Greater Kailash-II. It might seem a bit hidden if you are just driving past, but we have been here at Ethnic Kraft for quite a while. Being in a basement means we have to stay organized with our space. It’s filled with all sorts of pieces we are working on. The air usually smells like wood and polish. It is a bit quieter down here than it is out on the main road, which is nice when you are trying to concentrate on the details. We aren't a big chain store with bright lights and salesmen. It’s mostly just us and the tools. People come down the stairs looking for something a bit different for their homes. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what they like. It is a slow process sometimes, but that is how we like it. GK-II is a busy neighborhood, so there is always something happening outside. We just keep to our corner and keep working. Sometimes the deliveries are a bit tricky because of the stairs, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We just focus on the craft and making sure the furniture looks right. It’s a small, honest business and we are happy staying that way. We just keep making pieces that people want to have in their houses.
