Beyond Design

Lajpat Nagar-Ii is always buzzing, so being up on the 3rd floor at H-11 gives us a bit of a break from the crowd downstairs. Beyond Design is what we do here. It’s a climb up the stairs, but it’s worth it for the bit of peace we get. The office isn't very large. We have a couple of big tables where we spread out our drawings and samples. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps of paper or bits of fabric. We try to keep it tidy, but when we’re in the middle of something, that goes out the window. There’s a small balcony where we keep a few plants, though they’ve seen better days. The light in the morning is really good, which helps when we’re looking at colors. We’ve been in this building for a bit now and know the people on the second floor pretty well. We share the same leaky pipe issues sometimes. It’s just one of those old Lajpat Nagar buildings that has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit temperamental. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. Most people who come here already know where we are. It’s a comfortable place to work, even if it gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time.
