Modern Furniture & Furnishings is located at 362/5 on the Main Road in Govind Puri, Kalkaji. It’s a very busy street, so there is always something going on right outside our doors. We’ve got all sorts of furniture packed into the shop, from sofas to tables and everything in between. Since we are on the main road, we get a lot of people just dropping in while they are out doing their shopping. It can get a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of new pieces on the floor. We spend most of our time showing people different fabrics or explaining how a certain bed frame is put together. Kalkaji is a lively neighborhood and we like being right in the heart of it. The shop has been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot where you can find stuff for your house. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the road for a minute while we’re unloading, and the neighbors honk, but that’s just life in Govind Puri. We don't have any grand statements to make. We just sell furniture and try to make sure people find something they like. It’s a simple business and we keep things pretty straightforward with everyone who comes in.
