Our place is in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I, at B-116. It is a proper industrial zone, so there are trucks and factories all around us. We focus on office furniture, but we aren't some fancy design studio with silk rugs. It is a practical space where we store desks, chairs, and filing cabinets. We have a lot of metal and plastic parts around because that is what we work with most days. The building itself is sturdy and grey, just like everything else on this block. People come to us when they are setting up a new office or if their old chairs have finally given up. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading stuff. It can get pretty dusty with all the cardboard and packing materials lying around. We have a small crew that knows where everything is kept in the warehouse. Sometimes the office side of the building is a bit of a mess with blueprints and invoices, but we know our system. It is a busy spot and we are usually on our feet most of the day. We don't do much in the way of advertising because being in Okhla means people who need furniture usually find their way to our door anyway. The phone rings a lot and we just answer it and see what we can do. It is a straightforward way to run a business and we like the pace.
