Our setup is called Naimishanchal Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located at house number 1 in Laxmanpur, Sitapur. It’s Shivkumar’s house. We are just a group of farmers from this part of Uttar Pradesh. Sitapur is a place where most people know about the land and how to work it. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign outside. It’s just where we keep the records and meet to talk about the crops. Being in Laxmanpur means we are close to the fields. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get muddy when it rains. That’s just life here. We don't do big marketing or use words like fancy business plans. We just look at the seeds and the weather. Shivkumar handles the paperwork because someone has to do it. The house is always open for the members to come and chat. We are more like a family than a company. Most days are spent checking on the growth and talking to other farmers about the prices in the market. It’s a simple life and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We’ve been here for a long time and our roots are deep in this soil. We handle everything from the harvest to the selling without making a big fuss about it. That’s just how we operate in this corner of Sitapur. It takes a lot of effort to keep things running smoothly when the seasons change.
