We are located in Kaji Kamalpur, which is part of Hargaon in the Sitapur district. The address is House Number 1, care of Brijesh Chandra Tripathi. Being in Sitapur, we are surrounded by a lot of sugarcane and other farming activities. Our focus is on bio-energy, which sounds a bit technical, but for us, it’s mostly about finding uses for the agricultural waste that usually just gets burned or thrown away. Our office is a simple home-based setup. It’s not flashy. We have some old desks and a few chairs where we sit and talk to the farmers from around Hargaon. It gets quite dusty here during the dry season, and the roads aren't always the best, but we get around. We spend a lot of time looking at how we can collect husks and stalks to turn them into something useful. It’s a slow process and we’ve had plenty of setbacks with equipment or just getting people to try something new. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We are just trying to use what we have in our own backyard to make some energy and help the local farmers earn a little extra. Most days involve a lot of walking through fields and talking to people over tea. It’s a basic operation run by local folks who care about the land around Sitapur. We are just figuring it out as we go along.
