R D Public School

R D Public School is out in Baghi, which is a bit of a distance if you're coming from the main Shimla hub. Being out here in the 171225 area means things are a little slower and more peaceful. The school is a simple building that serves the families living in and around Baghi. It’s not a place with shiny glass walls or high-tech gates. We have a playground that gets a bit muddy when it rains, and the classrooms are filled with basic wooden furniture. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages, so it feels like a small community. We see the same families year after year, and it’s common to have siblings following each other through the grades. The winters can be tough out here in Baghi, sometimes we have to close up for a few days when the snow gets too heavy, but we always open back up as soon as the roads are clear. We don't do much in terms of advertising or trying to attract attention. Word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s just a plain public school where we try to get through the curriculum and make sure the kids have a place to go. We keep the books in order and the rooms swept. It’s honest work, and we’re happy to be doing it here in this corner of Shimla.
