Wagheshwari Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Shelkewadi, which is a quiet spot in the Satara area. We are located at Gut No. 302, and that’s where most of the activity happens for our little group. Farming in Songaontaluka has its own set of challenges, so a bunch of us decided to start this company to make things a bit easier for everyone involved. We aren’t some big city corporation with a lot of money or fancy equipment. Most of us are just regular farmers who have spent our whole lives in these fields. When we are not out there working the land, you can find us at the office trying to sort out the details of getting things moved or sold. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially when the weather isn’t cooperating with us. We don’t use any fancy words to describe what we do here. It’s just about growing things and trying to make sure the families in Shelkewadi can keep doing what they’ve always done.
