Our small office for Krishnateer Farmers Producer Companylimited is at house number 398 in Gove. We are located care of Tukaram Jaysing Jadhav, and this is where all our activities happen within the Satara district. Being in Gove means we are surrounded by fields and people who have worked this land for many generations. We are just a local group that thought it was finally time to organize ourselves a bit better than we were before. We don’t have any polished brochures or fancy offices with air conditioning. It’s just a simple room where we keep our files and meet to talk about the current season. The work we do is very much tied to the earth around here and the water we get. We handle the various tasks that farmer producer companies have to do, like managing the collective produce and helping the members get what they need. It can be a bit messy and unpredictable at times, but that’s just how farming life is. Satara has a long history of agriculture, and we are just trying to be a small, honest part of that continuing story. Most of our days involve talking to neighbors over the fence and checking on the progress of the different crops. We keep things very straightforward. There is no corporate ladder here, just regular people trying to make a decent living from what they grow. If you come by Gove, you’ll find us easily.
