Kavathekrushikranti Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Kavathe, which is a village in the Wai taluka. We work out of Madhukar Dere’s place. It’s not a big fancy office, just a room where we can sit and talk about the farm work. Wai is a beautiful place with the hills, but the farming is still tough work. We mainly focus on what we can grow in this soil and how to sell it without losing money. We started this company because it was getting harder and harder to manage everything alone. Now we have a group of farmers who help each other out with advice and resources. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can get our produce to the market and get a decent price for it. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just talking about the water levels or the new seeds someone tried out. It’s a very local thing and everyone knows everyone else. We keep our registers in a simple desk and try to stay organized, even though there’s always more work than time. If you come by, you’ll see us in our regular clothes, probably tired from a day in the field. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just farmers from Kavathe trying to make a living and keep the village going.
