Sudhamurti Women Farmers Producer Company Limited is a local group based out of Kherde. We are located at the house of Devrao Yamaji Thombe in the village. This company was started by women from our area who wanted to have more of a say in how our crops are handled and sold. Farming has always been a big part of our lives here in the taluka. Most of us have been working in the fields since we were kids. By coming together as a producer company, we can help each other out with seeds, tools, and getting a fair price for what we grow. It's not a big corporate office; it's just a room where we meet and talk. We don't have any fancy marketing people. We just know our land and we know how to work hard. The atmosphere is very simple and honest. We talk about the rain, the soil, and the daily struggles of being a farmer. Sometimes the meetings are long because everyone has a lot to say, but that is how we make things work. We are just regular women from the village trying to make life a bit better for our families. Working together makes us feel stronger. Kherde is a small place, and everyone knows everyone. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next harvest, making sure we do things the right way. It is a long journey for all of us but we are doing it together.
