Our office is at H.No.266 2A/2, over in Karanje Turf. That’s in Satara, zip code 415001. We call ourselves Smart Sheti Farmer Producer Company Limited. It sounds a bit modern, but we are just regular folks working with the land. We spend a lot of time thinking about how to make farming a bit more efficient for the people around here. Satara is a good place for this kind of work. We aren't sitting in some fancy glass building. It’s a normal house-style office where we keep our files and meet with the farmers. Some days are slow, and some days we can't even find a minute to sit down. That’s just how the agricultural cycle works in Maharashtra. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's sorting out supplies or helping with the harvest planning. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Most of our work comes from word of mouth in the Karanje area. People know we are at 2A/2. We try to be helpful and stay grounded. It’s not about being the biggest; it’s about doing the job right so the farmers can keep going. We've been here for a while and plan to stay. It’s just us, a couple of desks, and a lot of talk about crops. We like it that way. No need for anything more complicated than that.
