Shrimant Ramraje Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based at House No-37 in Gokhali, which is in the Phaltan area of Satara. Shrimant Ramraje is a producer company we started because we realized that working together is better than trying to survive alone as individual farmers. Gokhali is a small village where everyone knows what’s happening in the next field. Our office is just a regular house. It’s a place where we sit on the porch and talk about things like the price of onions or the cost of new tractors. We don’t have any marketing experts or corporate managers here. It’s just us, the local farmers, trying to handle our own business. Phaltan can be a bit dry sometimes, so we spend a lot of time discussing water and how to share it fairly. The paperwork for the company can be a headache, but it’s necessary so we can get better prices for what we grow. We are proud of being from Satara and working this land. Most days, the house is empty because everyone is out working. We only gather when there’s something important to decide. It’s a very practical way of living. We aren't interested in being a huge industry name. We just want our village and our families to do okay. It’s hard work, and the sun is hot, but we’re used to it by now.
