Shivrajya Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are the Shivrajya Farmers Producer Company Limited, located at 147 in Pogarwadi, over in the Karandi area of Satara. Most people around here have been farming their whole lives. My family has been on this same patch of ground for three generations now. We started this company because the market was getting harder to figure out on our own. It’s not a big fancy operation. Our address at number 147 is just where we keep the books and meet to talk. Satara has some good soil, but the water isn't always reliable, so we spend a lot of time discussing irrigation and wells. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can sell our crops for a price that lets us keep going. Usually, we just sit around on the porch and hash things out. It’s not very formal. Sometimes we disagree about which seeds to buy or when to harvest, but that's just part of it. We are just local guys from Pogarwadi. We don't have a marketing team or a shiny office. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the fields or just sitting near the house talking about the weather. It’s a tough way to make a living sometimes, but we’re used to it. We just try to help each other when the work gets too heavy. Every day is different, but the work stays the same.
