Shivmalhar Farmers Producer Company Limited is located at Gat No. 4 in Padegaon. That’s in the Khandala Taluka of the Satara district. Satara is a great place for farming, and we are proud to be part of it. We set this company up so the local farmers could have a bit more power when it comes to selling what we grow. It’s not a big city business with a lot of rules. We do things in a way that makes sense for the people living in Padegaon. You’ll find us at the Gat number site most days, either checking on the storage or looking at the quality of the latest harvest. We don't have a lot of staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from moving bags to filling out the tax forms. It gets tiring but it’s our own thing. We have been through some tough seasons together, so we know how to handle it when things don't go according to plan. We keep the talking to a minimum and focus on getting the produce out to where it needs to go. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some notes about the next delivery scribbled on the side. It’s a practical setup for people who work with their hands every day. We don't need things to be fancy to make them work. It’s just how we do things in Khandala.
