Satara Krishisampada Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at house number 1047 in Tadawale. This is Shital Adinath Zanjurne’s home. Tadawale is a quiet spot, and we like it that way. We focus on the crops that grow well in this part of Satara. The company was set up so we could have a formal way to sell our goods. Before this, we were all just doing our own thing and it was a lot harder. Now, as Satara Krishisampada, we have a bit more weight when we talk to buyers. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We just know how to grow things and we know who in the village is hardworking. We keep our own books and handle the paperwork ourselves. It’s a bit of a learning curve, but we are getting there. The atmosphere is very relaxed. If you come by house 1047, you might see us looking over some receipts or talking about the price of onions or whatever is in season. We are just a local group trying to make sure our families can keep farming for another year. It is a plain and simple business run by plain and simple people from Tadawale. That is the whole truth of it.
