You can find us in Kerwadi, right on the Nanded-Gangakhed Road. We are at Gat No 129, very close to the Maruti Mandir. The temple is a good landmark for people who aren't from around here. We called ourselves Sakhi'Samruddhi because it felt right for what we are doing in Palam. It’s a busy road, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks passing by. Our office is a simple building where we gather to talk about the crops and the prices. A lot of us have known each other since we were kids. We decided to join up so we could have more weight when we go to sell our stuff. It is not always easy. Sometimes we argue about how things should be done, but we usually figure it out over some tea. The Maruti Mandir is right there, so it is a peaceful spot despite the traffic. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical space where we keep our tools and our records. We are just regular farmers trying to make sure our families are taken care of. If you are passing through Kerwadi on the way to Gangakhed, you will see our sign. It is a local effort, through and through, with no big corporate bosses telling us what to do. We just want to work our land and get a decent price for what we grow.
