Sagunamata Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are set up at S No 94, 50 in Kolki. It is right there on the Pune Pandharpur road, so it is quite easy to find if you are driving through Phaltan in the Satara district. We started Sagunamata Farmers because we wanted a way for the local farmers here to work more as a team instead of everyone just doing their own thing. The main road gets pretty busy with all the trucks and people traveling between cities, but our spot is a bit more settled and quiet. It's just a regular building where we keep our tools and all our records. Most of us have our own land nearby where we grow various things depending on how the rain falls. Satara can be a very beautiful place but the work on a farm is never truly finished. We don't have any marketing team or people sitting in fancy offices with air conditioning. It is just us, a bunch of farmers from Kolki. We meet up mostly in the early mornings before the sun gets too hot to stand. We talk about who needs some extra help with their harvesting or what the latest news is from the government about crop prices. It is very informal and relaxed. Sometimes we have a bit of a disagreement about the best way to do things, but we always figure it out in the end. That is just how it is when you work with people you have known your whole life. We are proud of what we do.
