Farming is tough in Latur when the rains are late or the market prices suddenly drop. We started Renai Farmer Producer Company Limited to handle our own business instead of relying on middle people who don't understand the work. The office is just at Dayanand's house in Warwanti, nothing special. Mostly we deal with what grows right here around the Latur district, like soybeans and pulses. It’s not a big fancy setup with air conditioning. We just have some tables, a few chairs, and a lot of talk about crop cycles. We spend most of our time out in the fields or checking on the storage sheds. The roads out here aren't great, especially when the monsoon hits, but we make it work. Sometimes the electricity cuts out right when we are trying to finish the paperwork for the month. That's just how life is here in Warwanti. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just trying to make sure the families in our village get a fair shake. People around here know us by name and stop by whenever they have a problem. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with mud on the floors and papers piled up on the desk. But we are real people doing real work. We want to keep the younger generation interested in staying on the land. It is a slow process, but we are here every single day doing the best we can with what we have.
