Our office is right there with the Chairman of the Vividh Karyakari Co Op Soc in Nagthane. Being in the Satara district, we are surrounded by fields and hard-working people. This producer company is really just a group of local farmers trying to figure things out together. The office is often full of dust because of the tractors passing by on the main road. No fancy air conditioning exists here, just a ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise. Most of our meetings happen around an old wooden table where we talk about seed prices and the cost of transport. Since we've all grown up in Nagthane, we know who has the best crop and who is struggling with the water. It is a very simple way of doing business. There are no suits or formal presentations in this building. Instead, we just sit down and talk. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, especially with all the government rules for producer companies. We do our best to keep the records straight. It’s about making sure the people who actually grow the food get a fair chance. The building we are in is old, but it serves its purpose perfectly. We are just local folks working for other local folks. It’s not a big corporate dream, just a practical necessity for our village life in Satara. Everyone knows where to find us.
