Down in Koparde, which is in the Karad area of Satara, you will find Krushnakathfarm Producer Company Limited. Our address is simply number 14 in Kopadre. It is a small village where everyone knows each other’s business. We are right near the banks of the river, which is where the name comes from. The land here is good, and that is why we decided to set this up. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources. The office is just a small building where we keep the records and meet once in a while to discuss prices and seeds. Most of the time, the building is empty because we are all out in the fields. If you come looking for us at number 14, you might have to wait a bit for someone to show up with the keys. It is a peaceful place to work, though it gets very busy during the harvest season. We have a lot of old tools sitting around and bags of stuff waiting to be moved. It isn't a tidy place, but it is where we do our business. We handle everything from the planning to the selling, and it keeps us occupied from dawn until dusk. Satara is a great place to be a farmer, and we are just trying to make it work. Every season brings something different, and we just deal with it as it comes.
