Krushnakath Agro Producer Company Limited is over in Khodashi, near Karad. Our address is H. No. 843, and we’re located in the Satara district. The name Krushnakath comes from the fact that we are close to the banks of the Krishna River. It’s a good area for farming because of the water, and people have been growing things here for generations. Karad-415110 is our main local town where we go for supplies and to sell what we grow. We formed this company to help local farmers get a better deal and to share some of the costs. It's not a complicated idea, but it takes a lot of effort to keep it running. We meet up at the house in Khodashi to figure out our schedules and who is doing what. You won't find any slick brochures here. We just have our land and our equipment. Some days are long, especially when the river is high or the sun is beating down on the fields. We take things as they come and try to support the other families in the village. Satara has a strong farming culture, and we are just a small part of that. We focus on the daily grind and making sure the crops are healthy and ready for the market. It’s just local folks working together to make ends meet.
