Our office is located at Survey No. 118/99 in the Vidyanagar area of Karad. It’s a busy enough part of town, which is good for us because it makes it easy to get things delivered or picked up. We are the Kalptarru Krushi Samruddhee group, which is a bit of a long name, but it reflects what we’re trying to do here in the Satara district. We are basically a group of farmers who decided that we should probably start managing our own sales and supplies instead of relying on middle people all the time. It’s been a learning process for all of us. The office in Vidyanagar is where the paperwork happens, but the real work is spread out across all our different farms. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a big team of experts. It's just us, the local growers, trying to figure out the best way to move our crops. Some days are better than others. Sometimes we have long meetings where we argue about which seeds to buy or when to sell, but that’s just part of the job. We try to keep it simple and honest. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation; we just want our local farming community to be a bit more stable. If you come by, you’ll find a plain office and some tired but hardworking people. We’re just trying to make sure our families and our farms are looked after.
