Deccan Kgp Farmers Producer Companylimited is run out of Karanjkhop. We are located at Gat No. 664, which is Abhay Dasharath Acharekar’s place. It is a local operation through and through. We started this because the farmers in our area needed a way to organize better. You know how it is, one person alone can't do much, but together we have a bit more weight. We are mostly busy with the seasonal cycles. When it's time to plant, we are all in. When harvest comes, it's even busier. The office isn't much to look at, just a functional space where we keep our records and meet up. We don't use big words or have some polished corporate image. We are just people from Karanjkhop who understand farming. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, or the market prices are a bit low, and that's when we really have to stick together. We talk about what seeds are working or how to handle the latest pests. It is very hands-on work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the work we do here in this part of the country counts for something. If you are around Gat No. 664, you will see us working. We don't have fancy signs, just the name Deccan Kgp and some hard-working folks behind it. It’s just us doing the best we can with what we have, season after season.
