Arcay Food Industries (Opc) Privatelimited is basically run out of Nigadi village in the Koregaon area of Satara. We are located at the place belonging to Mr. Shivaji Namdeo Borage. It is a quiet spot, and most people here know us just as neighbors first. We got into the food industry because there is so much good produce coming out of our fields in Satara and we wanted to do something more with it. It is a one person company on paper, but it takes a lot of local help to keep things moving. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. Instead, it is a smaller operation where we pay attention to the details ourselves. The drive out here to Nigadi is nice, especially after the monsoon when everything is green. Shivaji's place is where we get the work done and store what we need. It can be a bit chaotic sometimes when the harvests come in all at once, and we are often working late hours to keep up. We use simple English and talk plainly because that is how we are. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. If people like what we are doing, they tell their friends, and that is how we grow. It is just a local business trying to do honest work with the food we have around us here. There is always something new to learn about processing and packing things the right way.
