Aplirenukamata Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Wai, which is a small place near Mahur. We operate out of Sachin Ambadas Rajurkar’s house. Mahur is a well-known area, but in the village of Wai, life is mostly about the rhythm of the seasons. We aren't a big company with many branches. We are just local farmers who decided to pool our resources. Sachin’s place is where we keep all the files and where we meet to make decisions. It is a very humble setup. Usually, there are a few bags of seeds or samples sitting in the corner. We talk about the crops that grow well in this soil and how to get them to market without losing too much money. It is not always easy because transport from our area can be a bit of a headache. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy reports. We just write down what we do and try to keep things honest. People in the village know us as neighbors first. When someone joins the company, it’s because they trust us to work together for everyone’s benefit. We deal with the daily struggles of pests, rain, and fluctuating prices. It is honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We are just trying to build something steady in Wai for our kids and the future of our farms. That is about it really.
