Sr Secondary School Shajli

Sr Secondary School Shajli is tucked away in the Sangrur area. It’s been part of this community for a long time. People around here usually know us by the old trees near the entrance. We teach the older students, the ones getting ready for their final school years. The school day starts early because many of our students walk or cycle from the nearby villages. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings. We have the usual rows of desks and blackboards. Some of the rooms are a bit older than others, but they serve the purpose. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the books and the teachers. Life here is tied to the farming cycles around Sangrur. During harvest time, the attendance might drop a little as kids help out at home. We understand how it works in the countryside. The playground is mostly dust, but it’s where all the action happens during lunch. We keep an eye on the kids and try to keep them focused on their studies. It’s a lot of work managing so many teenagers, but we’ve been doing it for years. We just try to get through the curriculum and make sure everyone is ready for their boards. It’s a local school for local families, and we like keeping things straightforward and honest. No big promises, just daily lessons and the usual school routines we all know.
