Sakthi Arul Granites

You can find us over at 3/397 in K.S.V Nagar, which is part of the Narasothipatty area. It is mostly a yard where we keep the granite blocks and slabs. It is a dusty place, there is no way around that when you are working with stone all day. We spend most of our time outside, either checking the stock or helping people pick out the right slab for their project. Granite is heavy and hard to move, so we use the crane a lot, and you have to be really careful where you stand. The sun beats down on the yard pretty hard during the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy loading done in the early morning hours when it is still a bit cool. We do not have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it is just us and the stone. If someone comes by, we usually just walk them around the yard and show them what we have got. Sometimes a slab has a natural vein or a color that someone does not like, so we have to move three others just to get to the one at the bottom of the stack. It is a lot of work for one sale, but that is just the nature of the business. We like being in Narasothipatty because it is easy for the big trucks to get in and out without getting stuck in too much traffic.
