Oswal Marbles

Oswal Marbles is our little shop located at A/2, Bharathi Street. We are tucked away in the Swarnapuri area of Omalur, which is a place we have called home for quite some time. The street is usually busy with people going about their business, and we fit right in with our stacks of marble blocks and slabs. Marble is a different kind of work than granite; it feels a bit more delicate even though it is still just big heavy rocks. We spend a lot of our time polishing or just cleaning off the dust so the natural veins in the stone show up better. People wander in from Swarnapuri to take a look at what we have sitting in the front. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Usually, it’s just a couple of us here moving pieces around or talking to someone about the size of a slab they need for a small project. The building itself is nothing special, just a place to store the inventory and keep the tools dry. Working in Omalur is steady, and we have seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years. We keep the doors open and just focus on the stone we have in front of us. If you walk down Bharathi Street, you will probably hear the sound of stone being moved before you even see the shop sign. It’s a dusty, hands-on job, and that is just the way we have always done it here in Swarnapuri. We just take things one slab at a time.
