S. D. L. Ceramics

Our place, S. D. L. Ceramics, sits right on Omalur Main Road, specifically at No:5/198 in the Narshudipatty 5-Road area. If you know where the Volkswagen car showroom is, we are right across from there. It’s a very busy part of town and the noise from the traffic never really stops during the day. We have lots of heavy ceramic items around and the floor usually has a bit of dust on it no matter how much we sweep. Working here means getting used to the sound of horns and engines. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock and making sure things are where they belong. Sometimes we stand out front for a minute just to see what’s happening on the road. It’s quite a local spot and people often stop by just because they were passing the showroom and saw our sign. The building has been here for a bit and it feels like a regular part of the neighborhood now. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of goods waiting to be moved. We don't have any big flashy displays or anything like that. It is just a straightforward workplace where we get through the daily list of chores. Usually, someone brings in tea around mid-morning and we take a short break before getting back to the inventory. It’s a lot of physical work moving things around, but we are used to it by now.
