Hindustan Granites

Hindustan Granites is located over on Ponkumar Mines Road in Jagir Ammapalayam. We are right across from Senthil Public School, so you can usually hear the kids playing during their breaks while we are working on the stones. Salem is a busy place for this kind of work. Our address is 194/ B, and it's a straightforward yard where we keep all the granite pieces. Sometimes the road gets a bit crowded with school buses and trucks, but we manage to get things moved. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time. The yard gets quite dusty from all the cutting and moving of the blocks, so we’re always cleaning up something. It isn't a fancy showroom at all. Most days it is just us wearing boots and handling the heavy lifting. People from around the neighborhood know where we are because of the school nearby. We usually start the machines early in the morning before it gets too warm. It’s a lot of physical labor, checking the slabs and making sure they are ready for whoever bought them. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. The stones are what matter most here. If you’re passing by the school, you’ll see our gate and the stacks of granite piled up inside.
