About Ceramics International – Building & Construction Material in Salem
We operate out of T1 and T2 in the Green Palace building on Bharathi Street. This is over in Subramania Nagar. The building is okay, though the stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying things. We deal with ceramics, which means we are constantly surrounded by tiles and bathroom fittings. It’s a fragile business. You have to be careful how you move things around here, or you’ll end up with a lot of broken pieces. The office is basically just a place where we keep the catalogs and handle the money. We have some displays set up so people can see the patterns and colors, but it’s not exactly a high-end gallery. It’s a place for builders and homeowners to come and pick out what they need. We spend a lot of time explaining the difference between various finishes and sizes. Bharathi Street is usually pretty quiet compared to the main roads, which we appreciate. It makes it easier for people to pull up and load their vehicles without blocking everyone. We’ve got a small crew, and we’ve all been working together for a while now. We know each other’s habits and how the business runs. There isn't any corporate ladder to climb here. We just show up, help the customers, and make sure the orders are correct. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and we’re happy enough with how things are at Ceramics International.
