Shiv Samrajya Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at House No 3069 in Davara Vasahat, which is in the Lanja area. Lanja is a nice place, but like anywhere else, farming here has its ups and downs. We started this group because we wanted to have more control over our own lives. When you’re just one small farmer, nobody really listens to you. But when a few dozen of us get together as a company, people start to pay attention. We don't have a big building or a lot of staff. Most of our meetings happen right at the house in Davara Vasahat. We keep it simple. We discuss things like which seeds are working best or where we can find a better price for our fruit and vegetables. We handle the paperwork for the group because that’s the part most people hate doing. It’s a lot of little details, but it helps everyone in the end. We aren't trying to be fancy or use big words. We just want to keep the farms running and make sure our families are taken care of. Sometimes we have to travel to the city to talk to buyers, but we’re always glad to come back home to Lanja. It’s hard work and some years are better than others. But we are all in it together. That’s why we started this in the first place. We just take things one day at a time and try to do right by the land and each other.
