Our office is really just House No. 553 at Post Dhamapur. That is where Anil Hari Chavan lives and it’s the base for Saptalingi Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in the Sangameshwar Taluka which is a beautiful part of the world but the work is hard. Most of us here are farmers who have been doing this since we were kids. We chose the name Saptalingi because it feels right for our area. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or fancy. We just wanted a way for the local farmers in Dhamapur to pool our resources and talk about our problems. Sometimes we sit around at Anil’s place and just drink tea while we plan out the season. It’s very informal. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just want to sell what we grow and make enough to keep going. The life of a farmer in Sangameshwar is mostly about patience and waiting for the right time to plant or harvest. Having this company helps us feel like we have a bit more control over what happens to our produce. We are just a group of friends and neighbors trying to make a living from the ground. It’s not always a smooth process and we make mistakes, but we learn as we go. We are just real people doing real work in our own village.
