Savarvalli Farmers Producer Company Limited is located right near the bus stand in Jawal, which is in Sagroli. That’s in the Biloli area of Nanded. We are at house number 787. It’s a pretty convenient spot because everyone passes by the bus stand anyway. We started this because the farmers in Biloli needed a way to stick together. Dealing with the markets alone is just too tough. Most of us have been farming our whole lives, just like our fathers did. Nanded is a good place for agriculture but you have to be smart about it. We use the space in Jawal to meet up and figure out what we are going to plant or how to get the best price for our harvest. It’s not a corporate setup with suits and ties. Usually, it’s just us in our work clothes talking about soil and rain. The office at the bus stand is where we keep all the files and handle the registrations. People come and go all day. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea and talk about the village news. It’s an honest way to live. We’ve had some good years and some bad ones, but being a producer company makes the bad years a little easier to handle. If you’re ever passing through Sagroli, you’ll see our place near the Jawal bus stand. We’re usually busy with something or other, but there’s always someone around.
