La Jawab

We’ve been here on H B Road in Lalpur for a while now. It gets really busy around here, especially during the afternoons when everyone is out and about in Ranchi. Our place, La Jawab, isn't anything fancy or big, but we make sure the shutters are up early every single day. Some days the traffic outside is just too much, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. People from the nearby offices and students often stop by because we’re right here in the middle of everything. It’s a lot of work keeping things running, and sometimes we run out of stuff faster than we thought we would, which can be a bit of a headache. My cousin helps me out with the daily chores, and we just try to keep the floors clean and the counters tidy. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks who come here just know us from walking past or living in the neighborhood for years. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We don’t have those fancy soft chairs or air conditioning that freezes you out, but it’s a decent spot to sit for a minute. The rain in Ranchi can be quite something, and during those times, the shop gets a bit crowded with people looking for cover. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it.
