We're based in Rupakhedi, out in the Tarana area. It’s mostly farmers here working together under the name Aradhana Farmer Producer Company Limited. Life around Shambugiri and Ratangiri is pretty much all about the land. We started this because doing things on your own is hard when you're dealing with crops and markets. Everyone knows everyone here. We spend our days figuring out the best way to handle the harvest and making sure the local folks have what they need to keep their fields going. It’s not a fancy office or anything, just us trying to make things work better for the people living right here in our village. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or prices are low, but we just keep at it. Most of us grew up in these fields. We know the soil and we know how much sweat goes into every season. Being a producer company just means we pool our resources. If one farmer needs help with seeds or tools, the rest of us try to sort it out. It's practical work. We don't have a big marketing team. It’s just people from the Shambugiri Ratangiri area doing what needs doing. We focus on the everyday stuff that keeps a farm running. If you pass through Rupakhedi, you'll see us out there. It’s a quiet life, but it’s ours. We just want to make sure the farming stays sustainable for the next generation around Tarana and the surrounding villages too.
