We are based at the Janpad Chatrawas Bhawan on Boira Kala Road in Khilchipur. Our group is called Khilchipur Shree Ram Samradh Mahilakisan Producer Company Limited. It is a long name for a group of local women who just want to farm better. We are located here in the Rajgarh district. Most of us have been working the land since we were children. We decided to start this company to help ourselves and our families. It’s not a fancy business with suits and ties. We meet up at the Chatrawas Bhawan to talk about what seeds to plant or how to deal with the latest pests. It’s all very down-to-earth. We don't have a marketing department or a big office. We just have each other. Living in Khilchipur means we understand the local soil and the local problems. We try to find solutions that actually work for us. Sometimes it’s a struggle, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate, but we keep going. We don't use big, complicated words. We just talk about our lives and our work in a way that makes sense.
