Dangi Kankariya Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Village Kankariya near Chhapiheda in the Rajgarh district. You can find us at Badam Bai’s place. Most of us here come from the Dangi community and we have been farming these lands for a very long time. It’s a small village and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We thought if we formed a company we could help each other get better prices for what we grow. Rajgarh can be a tough place for farming because of the weather but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big corporate setup or a shiny office. We just meet at the village and figure out how to transport our crops to the bigger markets. Badam Bai helps keep things organized for us. It’s a lot of work and sometimes it feels like we are just fighting against the market prices every single day. But being together makes it a bit easier to handle the stress. We use simple tools and traditional ways mostly. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Madhya Pradesh. We just want to make sure our village stays on its feet. It’s honest work and we don't try to make it sound like something it’s not. We are just farmers who joined together to try and have a bit more control over our own lives and our own harvests.
