Ankush Arts is located right near the Patlu Choudhari School, which is just by the Warje Bus Stop. Being near a school and a bus stop means there’s always a lot of movement. You hear the school bells and the buses pulling in and out all day long. It gives the place a lot of energy. Our shop in Warje is where all the creative work happens. It’s not a sterile environment; there are usually scraps of material or half-finished projects sitting around. We like it that way because it shows we are actually busy. People often drop in while they are waiting for their bus or after picking up their kids from school. We spend our time working on whatever art or design job is currently on the table. It’s a practical setup with plenty of light. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Most folks know us because they walk past us every day. The space is a bit cramped sometimes when we have a big project, but we manage just fine. We have a routine of cleaning up every evening so we can start fresh the next morning. It’s a honest way to make a living, right in the heart of Warje. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like a staple of the street near the bus stop.
