Art 2 Day Art Gallery

Art 2 Day Art Gallery is located in the Dhankawadi area of Pune. We’re part of the Dheypurti Housing Society, specifically at the Nivara address under the care of N. N. Bahulikar. It’s a bit of a different setup than the big galleries you might find in the city center. We operate in a more personal, quiet space which seems to fit the art world better anyway. We’ve got pieces coming in and going out all the time, so the walls are always changing. It isn't a perfectly curated museum environment; it feels more like a lived-in space where art is appreciated. We handle the day-to-day stuff like talking to artists and organizing small viewings. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess with packing crates and bubble wrap, but that’s the reality of moving art around. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just like art and want to provide a place for it in Pune. Being in a housing society means we know our neighbors and things are pretty low-key. We aren't trying to be the most famous gallery in India, just a regular one where people can see something interesting. If you’re coming by, it’s best to call ahead sometimes just to make sure someone is in, as we might be out meeting a local painter. It’s a simple life here in Dhankawadi, focused on the work at hand and the art we show.
