Vishwa Art Gallery

Vishwa Art Gallery is located over at Dhanakawadi 24. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough room to hang some paintings and display a few pieces on the floor. We mostly just sit here and wait for people to walk in and take a look at what’s on the walls. Some days it is very quiet and we just read the paper or clean. The lighting inside isn't always perfect, but we do what we can with the space we have. Most of the art comes from local people who just want a place to show their work to others. We spend time dusting the frames and moving things around to make more room for new stuff. If you are walking down the street in Dhanakawadi, you might see our door. It’s a plain shop front and nothing special to look at from the outside. We don't really have a big staff, usually just one or two of us here to answer questions if someone has one about the price. Sometimes we rearrange the whole room on a Sunday when there aren't many visitors around. It feels good to see the colors on the walls even when nobody is buying anything that day. We try to keep the place tidy, though the corners get cobwebs. Art is a funny thing, some people love a piece and others just walk right past it. We don't judge. We are just here at number 24, keeping the doors open during the day and hoping people enjoy looking at the art.
