Fortune Art Gallery

Fortune Art Gallery sits at Erandwane Pune-Solapur Road 2. It is not a very big gallery, but we have enough room to hang a decent number of frames on the walls. The lighting is okay, though we have to adjust the lamps quite often to make sure everything is visible. Most days it is quiet in here, which is fine because it gives us time to clean the glass and dust the frames. We handle various types of local art and some prints that people seem to like for their homes. The floor is tile and it gets cold in the winter months. We usually sit near the front door to see who walks in from the main road. The traffic outside on Pune-Solapur Road can be quite heavy, so the gallery feels like a different world once you step inside. We do not have fancy openings or big parties. Mostly, it is just people walking in to look around or asking about a specific piece they saw in the window last week. We try to keep the displays changing every now and then so there is something new to see. It is just us working here, so if we have to step out for a quick errand, we just lock the door for a few minutes. We have a small desk in the corner where we do all the paperwork. It is a straightforward business, just keeping the art safe and the doors open for anyone.
