Lalit Kala

Lalit Kala is located at shop number 345 in the Ratnadeep Chambers. This is right in Ganesh Peth, near Kasture Chowk. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite Oswal Jewel. The shop is tucked into 512 Ganesh Peth, and the whole area is always buzzing with people and scooters. It’s a tight space, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. The walls are lined with shelves, and things are piled a bit high sometimes. You have to be careful walking through the narrow aisles. It smells like old paper and wood inside. Most of the shops around here have been around for decades, and we feel like part of that old fabric of the city. We open up pretty early in the morning when the street is being swept. Throughout the day, we get a mix of regulars who have been coming for years and people who just got lost looking for the jewelry shop. The lighting isn't the best, just a few tube lights that flicker once in a while. We don't have a computer system for everything; we still write a lot of things down in the big ledgers. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction work down the road, but we try to keep the shop floor clean. It’s just how things are in a busy market like Ganesh Peth and we are happy to be here.
